Imports, index rebuilds and metric backfills moved onto a durable engine, so a job no longer dies half-finished when something restarts underneath it.
Connect Square and your catalogue and completed sales flow in automatically, joined to live cost, with a menu engineering matrix showing what actually earns.

Product upload was rebuilt as a five-step wizard: parse the file, map the columns automatically, review conflicts in a virtualised table, dedupe and tag, then save as a draft or submit. It even remembers the mapping next time.
Tags became managed records: merge duplicates, archive the ones you stopped using, act on them in bulk, and set synonyms so different words find the same things.
Filter state moved into the URL, so a filtered list can be bookmarked or pasted to a colleague and open exactly as you left it.

Dates and business-day boundaries follow each venue's own timezone rather than always Sydney, and you pick your timezone at signup or in settings.

Multi-select across recipe, menu item and supplier product lists, then approve, submit, reject or discard the lot in one action.
Unit conversions became shared across your organisation and chainable: set one slice to 0.1 each and one each to 200g, and slices convert to grams on their own.
Each venue gets its own Chefy invoice address. Suppliers email invoices straight in and they arrive already read and matched.

Metric history can now spot gaps and backfill them, so a chart missing a slice of time no longer just quietly shows a smaller number.
Costing moved to a materialised model, so reports and dashboards load from something already assembled rather than being recalculated per query.

Every access check moved behind a single permission set, so what you can do is decided consistently everywhere rather than screen by screen.
Per-item AI commentary streamed into the interface, plus automatically generated imagery for products and recipes that have no photo.
Every signup now gets a fully populated demo organisation generated in the background, plus guided walkthroughs that highlight the real interface and advance as you complete each step.
We rebuilt the front end and moved navigation fully client-side, so moving around Chefy stopped reloading the world every time.

Photograph or upload a supplier invoice and get its header, line items and prices extracted and matched against your existing products, ready for review.
Raise a supplier order against live cost and stock, with the invoice landing back against the order it belongs to. Purchase orders are emailed to suppliers in PDF form.

Products carry seasonal availability so costing decisions account for what is actually in season. Venues can also be locked to their own products rather than the organisation's.
Stocktake came to the kitchen screen, so counting happens where the stock is rather than on a laptop somewhere else.
A daily email covering the last 30 days: sales, average COGS, your latest stocktake, top and bottom five menu items, and anything running over its COGS target. Subscribe per person.

Count your stock in Chefy, grouped by storage location and valued at live cost as you go, finishing in a valued inventory snapshot rather than a spreadsheet.
