Upload your sales from a spreadsheet

Not on Square? Export sales from your point of sale and upload the file. Chefy maps the columns with you, checks the dates, and feeds the result into the same dashboard, per-item analytics and AI insights a connected venue gets.

Everything else in this release

New

  • Sales from a spreadsheet. Until now the sales side of Chefy needed a Square connection. Any venue can now export a sales report from its point of sale and upload it as a CSV. Chefy helps you match the columns to menu items and quantities, previews wide files with sideways scrolling, and tells you what was imported and what needs fixing before anything counts.Sales
  • Trading dates, read and checked. When the filename carries an unambiguous day-first date, Chefy uses it as the trading date. Ambiguous dates and date ranges are held for you to confirm, and the upload screen explains what it checked and where you can correct it.Sales
  • The same numbers, whichever way they arrive. Uploaded sales feed the dashboard, cost of goods, margin and per-item trends exactly as connected sales do, so a venue on a spreadsheet gets the same picture as a venue on Square.Sales

Improved

  • AI insights say what they know. A venue with the Sales module and no live point of sale used to get a daily insight telling it to "verify the POS integration". It now gets the operations report instead, covering cost movements, recipe edits, supplier activity and stocktake variances. The same applies to the on-demand insight behind the Sparkles button. A window with no sales reads as no sales, not missing data.Sales

Fixed

  • Dashboard trend charts load reliably for organisations with a large sales history.Sales
